I can't sing - am I welcome in this group?

100% YES! Most of the singers who join may not believe they can sing well, but within the safety of a large group find the support to open their natural voice and experience the joy of singing with others. You are not alone! This was my story as well, and the impetus for creating this container.

Question 2

Do I need prior singing experience or to be able to read sheet music to join?

Nope and nope! This form of singing is meant to be accessible to all no matter what level of experience you may have. No prior singing experience is necessary. All songs are fairly short and easy to learn and are taught on the spot by call-and-repeat.

What kinds of songs do you sing?

We sing mostly short-formed contemporary songs that were written for acapella group singing. Mostly in English, with occasional simple songs in other languages. We avoid explicitly religious or devotional songs, however, we do invite a spiritual space and do our best to sing from common ground.

Are kids welcome?

Yes, AND...it's important to Kira and the group that there are minimal distractions. Kids who can be present or self-entertain quietly generally do well in these settings. I welcome dialogue and trying it out. Drawing & activity materials are available.

Question 5

Are pets allowed?

Accepted Answer

Only Trained Service Animals are allowed. I ask they remain leashed and stay by you during sessions. Please let me know ahead what your animal is trained to do. Pets and Emotional Support animals must be left at home.

Are the venues wheelchair accessible?

Yes, all venues are wheelchair accessible.
